In high school biology class, Dick met the love of his life, Julaine Schallock. They were married on July 1, 1961 and God blessed them with over 60 years together.
In his spare time Dick enjoyed hunting, trips out west, traveling, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and trap shooting. He enjoyed watching "Gunsmoke" and was a big Green Bay Packers fan. Dick was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Rhinelander and served on the Board of Trustees and volunteered with the Harvest dinners. He also was a member of the Rhinelander Jaycees and he served as a Boy Scout leader earlier in life.
Dick is survived by his wife Julaine, his daughter Kimberly (Paul) Gatewood, his sons Jeffrey (Rebecca) Tracy and John Tracy, his grandchildren Laura Tracy, Claire (Shane) White, Eric Tracy, Ethan Gatewood and Aidan Gatewood, his great-grandchild Charlotte White, his sister Linda (Charles) Metzger, his brother Art (Connie) Tracy, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ruth Kitzman.
Visitation for Dick will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 9 to 11 a.m., with funeral services following at 11 a.m., all at the First United Methodist Church. Reverend Mark Klaisner will be officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at the Crandon Lakeside Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Tracy family at www.carlsonfh.com.
