Rich C. Setzer
Rich was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 28, 1962, to Clarence R. and Joann C. (Monty) Setzer. He was raised in Wisconsin and served in the U.S. Army from 1980 until 1983 at Ft. Hood, Texas. In 1983 Rich moved to Eagle River and was united in marriage in October of 1983 to Alison Faust. They later were divorced. He was united in marriage to Lisa Guolee-Haack on July 7, 2018, at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.
Rich was employed at Twist Drill for 16 years and later at Pukall Lumber.
Rich was a member of S.E.R.V.E. Senior Eagle River Volunteer Enterprises. He was an avid cribbage player, enjoyed board games, going to the casino to play three card poker and had a love for dogs. He had played on a pool league in Sugar Camp.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Lisa; children, Blake Edward (Monica) Setzer of Virginia, Katelyn Amanda (Robert) Williams of Rhinelander, two stepchildren, BarbaraRae Haack of Rhinelander, and Josiah "Sye" Haack of Rhinelander; three grandchildren, Samantha, Beckett and Jaxon; siblings, Lloyd (Cheryl) Setzer, Linda (Timothy) Bloomer, and Clarence (Dawn) Setzer. Also surviving are his four-legged companions, Butter, Snickers and Tucker. Rich is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and dogs.
A Celebration of Life for Rich will take place Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2022, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Town Hall, located at 3231 Golf Course Road, Rhinelander. Military honors will take place at 2 p.m.
