Ripco Credit Union supports Rhinelander Fourth of July Parade
The check represents Ripco's sponsorship of the Edgar High School Marching Band's performance at this year's event, according to a credit union press release.
"Bands are one of the highlights of every parade! This year - as Ripco celebrates its 90 Anniversary - we're not only sponsoring the always-impressive Edgar High School Marching Band - but a Ripco float will be escorting our sponsored unit," Sowinski said.
The 2022 parade will be held on Monday, July 4 at 11 a.m. Parade applications are still available at the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce office at 450 West Kemp Street.
Additional entries are welcome, and businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and even family groups are encouraged to join in the fun. The parade route will start at the police station on Frederick Street, travel south down Brown Street, then north on Courtney Street to Davenport Street.
The theme for this year's parade is "Rally Around the Flag."
In addition to the Edgar High School Band, other units of interest include the Rhinelander High School Band, Pipes and Drums of Thunder Bay, the Rhinelander Community Band, Janesville Fife & Drum, and the Zor Funsters.
The Parade Committee would welcome additional antique, new or especially sharp/interesting cars or trucks to lead sponsored units. Please call Schlieve with questions or to express interest.
Awards for the DRI Master Parade will be given for Non-Profit, Business, Marching and General categories.

The Rhinelander Lions Kiddie Parade will start at 10 a.m. on the 4th, with lineup at 9:30 a.m. by Zion Church/School on Frederick Street. For more information about the Kiddie Parade, call Tim Gengler at 715-490-2470.
