On Tuesday afternoon, June 7, Lakeland Union High School administration announced the cancellation of all evening activities. As of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, there were just a few vehicles in the LUHS parking lot.

Tuesday evening, Capt. Terri Hook of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office issued a press release.

"On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the Minocqua Police Department received a threat against school officials at the Three Lakes High School and Lakeland Union High School," Hook stated in the press release. "The suspect has been located. There is no active threat to the community at this time."

On Wednesday, Oneida County Sheriff Grady Hartman told The Lakeland Times a suspect in the investigation, identified as Adam Bauman, 18, of Woodruff, was in custody.

"I'm not sure what the charges are yet," Hartman said early Wednesday afternoon, adding that more information was expected to be released soon. "We're holding him pending the outcome of the investigation at this point," the sheriff added.

As of press time for this edition, no further information was released.

We will publish additional information as it is received.
