That race drew the largest rider count, with 52 motos and in excess of 175 riders, according to track operator Robbie Deede. There were 27 motos in Friday night's Rider Appreciation Night and 29 motos Saturday in the tracks Race For Life/Badger State Games event.
"It was awesome, a really great experience," Deede said. "We've got a really good system at our track, a well-oiled machine is the best way to describe it. We had a ton of really positive comments from riders around the state ... It's a big family, the Wisconsin, Midwest BMX family. We're racing, riding hard, shaking hands at the end of the day. There was everything you could ask for - smiles, tears, lots of passion at the track. That's everything you look for in a BMX race."
Kaukauna's Nathan Davids took Sunday's main event, the Open Pro-Am event that featured a purse of more than $1,000 thanks to sponsors Dina Mia Pizza and T&M Towing.
Full results from the race weekend were not available as of press time and will be published in a future edition of the River News.
