RPD warns movie prop money circulating in community

"We have received reports of clearly marked movie prop money being utilized as payment for goods and services," the department said in a Facebook post. "We would like to remind all local businesses to at least take a glance at large bills being offered as payment to make sure 'motion picture' or 'copy' isn't printed on the bill. While it is not a crime to possess movie prop money, it is a crime to intentionally defraud a business utilizing it. Please let us know if you come across any of these bills."
