Leland "Lee" Furrer
Lee graduated from Waukesha High School in 1961. He then served with the United States Air Force from 1962 until 1982. He served for 20 years and 25 days which included his service in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he returned to Rhinelander and was employed by the Rhinelander District Library for about 10 years. Aside from his work he enjoyed camping and being with his family.
He married the former Barbara Harris on April 18, 1980 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinelander. The Lord blessd them with over 41 years of marriage. He remained a member ot the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Visitation is set for Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 9 to 10 a.m. with a memorial service following at 10 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Northwoods National Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Furrer family at www.carlsonfh.com.
