Jack was born and raised in Rhinelander on Dec. 10, 1940, the son of John and Leone (Wales) Malone. He attended Rhinelander High School and in 1960 enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country until 1964. He was united in marriage to Barbara Rodman on July 10, 1965 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was employed with Consolidated Paper in Monico for 21 years, retiring in 1999.
Skip loved his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren's accomplishments. He enjoyed playing checkers, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and the outdoors, especially taking care of his lawn. In his younger years he enjoyed going to the casinos.
He will be dearly missed by his children: Melanie (Mike) Kubesh of Illinois and Jessica (Dustin) Augustine of Tomahawk; grandchildren: Nick Kubesh, Megan Kubesh, Emmett Malone, Conner Augustine and Tanner Augustine; one sister Candy Langner of Kansas, sister-in-law Sally Malone of Rhinelander. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara Malone on December 20, 2021, and by two brothers, Dick (Bonnie) Malone and Butch Malone.
At Jack's request, there will be no services.
