Judy married the love of her life, David Richardson, on Dec.15,1956. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage. Early in their marriage, Dave and Judy moved to Chicago, where Judy worked at the Mars Candy Bar Company. When she wasn't working, she loved driving their convertible through "The Loop".
Chicago is where they started their family with their firstborn daughter, Carla Engstrom. They then moved home to Rhinelander a few years later to continue to grow their family, where they celebrated the birth of Paula, and then Casey.
Judy will be dearly missed by her husband David, her daughter Paula (Mike) Dreuth, son Casey Richardson, and son-in-law Terry Engstrom. She is survived by her grandchildren: Michael Becca) Novak, Adam (Sam) Engstrom, Megan (Tim) Engstrom, Jeffery (Trisha) Bauman, Aaron (Stacey) Richardson, Bryce (Mike) Klaver, and Haley (Wyatt) Haenel. Judy also has 10 great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She is also survived by her brother Peter Bergman Sr., nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Engstrom and sister, Avis Pence.
Spending time with her family was the highlight of Judy's life, along with fishing, camping, and picking rocks. The family would want Judy to be remembered as a beautiful, kind, and giving person.
There will be no services for Judy at this time. You may leave your private condolences for the Richardson family at www,.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving the Richardson family.
