Northwoods residents spent Wednesday morning digging out after a two-pronged winter storm dumped several inches of snow on the region, with the worst coming Tuesday afternoon into evening. Although the Rhinelander area got about five inches of the white stuff from the system, it wasn't the 12+ inches originally forecast.
