Sandra was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1957 and then attended college at UW La Crosse. She graduated from La Crosse with a degree in teaching and then taught in Wausau for a short time before returning to Rhinelander. Mrs. Scott, as she was known to many, had been a longtime teacher and aide at Rhinelander Catholic Central/Nativity of our Lord. After her retirement she could be found every Friday volunteering at Saint Joseph Thrift store.
Sandra was an avid pet lover. Some of her favorites were Popi, Dudley, Alexis, Simba and Dusty. She also enjoyed gardening, often sharing what she had grown with her daughters and friends. Velvet Lake will always hold a special place in her heart.
Her favorite people were her grandchildren, grandsons Christopher (Nikki) Swartz, Cody Gentry, Matthew Gentry, Nate Graham and granddaughter Emily Graham, also her great-grandsons Jackson and Edison. She also leaves behind her loving daughters Susan Gentry (Scott Graham) and Jill (Mark) Swartz, along with many dear friends. She was preceded in her death by her parents Max Bruckner and Annie Bruckner and the love of her life Robert Scott.
Graveside services for Sandra will be held this coming summer and the times will be published. You may leave your private condolences for Sandra's family at www.carlsonfh.com.
