It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our sweet sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, Patricia "Pat" A. Maros (nee: Matheson) at the age of 74, on Monday, Feb. 7, 2022.

Pat was the cherished daughter of the late Dorothy (Cornille) and George Matheson. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore "Ted" Maros.

Pat will be missed by her loving children, son, Paul Delagrange (Sharon Smith) and stepdaughter, Michele Maros. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Peter Maros. Pat will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Robyn, Chandler, Paul Jr. and Hannah. She is survived by her devoted siblings George Matheson (Mary Lou), Susan (Matheson) Romanski, John Matheson (Judy), and Tom Matheson. She is also survived by her in-laws Stella Mulack (late Karl) and Connie Tansey (Ted). Additionally, Pat is survived by her many adored nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Pat grew up on the northwest side of Chicago. She and Ted owned an employment agency in Chicago before they pursued their dream of owning a fishing and vacation resort, Indianhead, in Hayward. From there, they went on to become managers of a major hotel chain, until Pat and Ted returned to their beloved Northwoods area of northern Wisconsin. After Ted's passing, Pat became a highly respected administrator for a local assisted living facility, a position she held until her retirement.

Pat's home was the summer gathering place for all of her family. Thanks to her beautiful home and welcoming spirit, the family had wonderful times together.

Pat was an active member of St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church in Sugar Camp for many years. It is from this church that she formed some very special friendships including with her former pastor, Reverend Bala.

The visitation for Pat was held on Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church, located at 6895 State Road 17, Sugar Camp, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Mass honoring Pat's life.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church in Pat's memory.

Peace, Pat, we love you.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, 54501, 715-365-4343.
