Judy married Charles "Butch" Traeder on June 2, 1962 and they were blessed with nearly 60 years of marriage and two wonderful children and grandchildren.
Judy was a hard worker her entire life. She first worked as a practical nurse for St. Mary's Hospital, then helped her Mom and Dad in operating Eddies Mint Bar and then for Campbell's Clothing in downtown Rhinelander. In 1984 she and Butch took ownership of the Club 47 which she operated until retiring from there in 2000. She built quite a following at Club 47, due to her famous broasted chicken, her homemade beer mustard and most of all, her friendly disposition.
Judy loved being with people and gardening. After retiring from Club 47 she found both at Walmart where she worked as a greeter and in the garden center. She loved her coworkers in the garden center and fellow greeters. She truly enjoyed greeting people each day and her work with the plants.
Outside of her work Judy had many interests. They included playing cribbage, waterskiing, rummage sales, all animals and their many dogs throughout the years and all kids and babies. She supported the kids at the ice arena for many years via the "swear jar" at the bar at Club 47.
Judy is survived by her husband Charles "Butch" Traeder, her children Tracy (Todd) Riopel and Todd Traeder, her grandchildren Taylor and Tori Riopel, special family friend Ken Grauzas, and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Judy was held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 9 to 11 a.m., with funeral services following at 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. You may leave your private condolences for the Traeder family at www.carlsonfh.com.
