The program seeks players born between 2008 and 2015 for the seven-week session.
"Northern Wisconsin Knights is back for the spring of 2022," the group stated in a press release. "This year with more experience, more competition, and all the excitement of development spring hockey; with none of pressure of tryouts and travel teams.
"This year the Knights are looking for players from Mites through Bantams to continue their hockey season training with high level coaches promoting development through skill appropriate drills and competition. We strive to create an environment of healthy competition and fun, all while developing the skills that make your player better."
All players registered will be able to participate as the program is based around two 1-to-2-hour practices each week. Additionally, the club states it has plans to incorporate 3-on-3 tournament-style competition into its development plan.
"Similar to the old pond hockey days, 3-on-3 half ice hockey is designed to promote competition, fast-paced skill development, all while giving the players a chance to hone the skating, passing, stick handling and teamwork skills needed, to be successful in this game," the press release stated.
Registration is available online at rhinelanderice.com. Registration is $325 for RIA members and $425 for non-members. A one-day-a-week session for Mini Mites (5-and-6-year-olds) is also available with a registration fee of $150 for RIA members and $200 for non-members.
