He married his wife, Diane, in 1974 at River Heights Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, Minn.
Bob graduated from pre-seminary training at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minn. in 1976. He then attended Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, graduating in 1980. He was ordained in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Lomira, where he ministered two congregations, St. Paul's Lutheran and St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Knowles, until 1992. He was then called to serve at Grace Lutheran Church in Indianapolis, Ind. Reverend Lehrkamp retired from the ministry in 2006 to Three Lakes.
The joy of his life was raising two children and later in life spending time with his grandchildren.
Throughout his life he had a great love of the outdoors, fishing, waterskiing, watching the wildlife, and attending live music events with his wife, Diane.
Bob is survived by his wife Diane (Beiswenger), his daughter Sarah (Joseph) Gulig, his son Mark Lehrkamp, his five grandchildren Carter, Trenton, Madison, Taryn and Treysen, his sister Jeanne (Thomas) Weishar, his brothers Greg (Anita) Lehrkamp and Roger Lehrkamp; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law Jaymie Lehrkamp.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 from 4 to 5 p.m., with funeral services following at 5 p.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Reverend Joshua Odell will be officiating.
