Organizers of the Lights of the Northwoods holiday display are busy preparing for the event's sixth year. Pictured: A volunteer in a bucket truck hangs lights from a tree in Rhinelander's Hodag Park. The Lights of the Northwoods display will be available for viewing nightly, from 5 to 9 p.m., from Friday, Dec. 2 to Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023. For two weekends in December - from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9, 10 and Dec. 16, 17 - there will be additional activities in the Hodag Park pavilion including a visit with Santa and concessions like hot beverages, snacks, sweets, etc. "Enjoy the lights with newly added holiday music and warming bonfires along our lakeside walking path, or choose to view the displays in the comfort of your vehicle by taking the lighted driving path through the impressive tunnel of lights," organizers said in a press release. "Collections of food and/or monetary donations will be at the end of the driving path and other locations at the park. Your donations support area food pantries and improve the event success for years to come. Portable restrooms are available for guest use throughout the park."
