She married her husband, Clayton Spiess, on Oct. 2, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church in Eagle River. Dani enjoyed gardening, reading, camping, homesteading, hunting, fishing and downhill skiing. She loved board games and was a very competitive player. Dani attended Christ Lutheran Church in Eagle River with her husband and family.
Dani was preceded in death by her grandparents: Vivian and Allen Rude and Barbara and Richard Rhode.
Dani is survived by her husband, Clayton Spiess of Eagle River; her mother: Virg Rhode-Rude of Rhinelander; her father: James "Buck" (Karen) Rude of Rhinelander; siblings: Tara (Chris) Petreikis of Eagle River, Austin James Rude of Minneapolis, Minn., Zach (Jennifer) Cira of River Falls, Abbigail Ewert of Rhinelander and Joseph Ewert of Rhinelander; parents-in-law: John (Jackie) Spiess of Eagle River; grandmother-in-law: Shirley Spiess of Eagle River; sisters-in-law: Heidi Court of New London, Natalie Spiess of Eagle River and Lacey Spiess of Germany; other relatives; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church in Eagle River. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church (attn: Dani Memorial Scholarship Fund) dedicated to continuing education for students looking to become a pastor or teacher of the WELS.
