Robert retired, and moved to what was previously his summer home in Rhinelander, in 2007. He made many friends and acquaintances there and enjoyed joining them for dinner and get-togethers.
Robert enjoyed bike riding, the outdoors, visiting with his college friends who called him "Mac" and friends from Rhinelander. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family including his two daughters and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his daughters Kristin Searing of Hartford and Karin (Vincent) Farina of Oak Creek, grandchildren Jay and Kaylynn, sister Diane (David) Graczyk of Madison, nieces Sara Arnold and Julie Graczyk, other family and many friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. memorial service, at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a memorial bench.
