Nicolet president to speak at AAUW Northwoods meeting
A luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the speaker at 1 p.m. in the dining room, organizers said in a press release.
The menu is chicken salad, served with ciabatta bread, chips, and a cup of tomato basil soup. Dessert will be chocolate cake and the beverage choices are coffee and tea (hot or iced). The cost is $20 per person and includes tax and gratuity. Payment should be cash or a check made out to AAUW Northwoods. The speaker will be President Kate Ferrel of Nicolet College.
Ferrel began her tenure as president in August of 2021. She joined Nicolet in 2014 to become the Dean of Students. She subsequently served as vice president of Student Affairs at Nicolet before being promoted to executive vice president of Academic and Student Affairs.
"Kate's knowledge of Nicolet's operations, and her personal relationships with staff, stakeholders, the Wisconsin Technical College System, and her engagement with the Nicolet community at large will serve Kate and the college well and she'll be able to hit the ground running," said Sharon Nielsen, chair of the Nicolet College Board of Trustees.
This meeting is a Shape the Future event for AAUWNW, which means any new members can join AAUWNW for half price $47.50. Please bring guests. There will be information available on both AAUW and the LWV.
