Brody Kowieski, sophomore-to-be at Rhinelander High School, recorded a hole-in-one Tuesday, Aug. 11 during a Wisconsin PGA Junior Tour event at Wausau Country Club in Schofield.

Kowieski aced the par-3 12th hole, using a pitching wedge to hole out from 135 yards. The ace was the highlight of Kowieski's day as he carded a 7-over-par round of 78 to finish fourth in the Boys' 14-15 division and tied for 11th overall.

Kowieski was one of three Rhinelander golfers in the field. Class of 2022 grad Kole Gechas shot a 3-over round of 74 to take fourth in the Boys' 16-18 category and fifth overall. Sam Shrock shot 93 to take eighth in the Boys' 12-13 category.

Overall, Gechas has made six Junior Tour starts this summer and sits 11th in the Boys' 16-18 standings. Kowieski, who recorded his best Junior Tour finish of the summer on Tuesday, sits 27th in the Boys' 14-15 standings having made nine starts on the season.
