Dick attended St Theresa Catholic Grade School and Appleton West High School.
He joined the Marines and spent the majority of his tour in California. He returned to Appleton and started his career at Appleton Papers. Later, he advanced his career at Wausau papers in Wausau and then moved to Rhinelander Papers where he retired in 2002. Shortly after retiring, he and his wife Sue (Susan Edwards) Huhn, moved to Palm Coast, Florida.
Dick loved NASCAR and enjoyed several races in person. His other passions included the Packers and golfing. After moving to Florida, he was known to be at the golf course most mornings, if the weather and his health would permit.
Dick was married several times. The longest relationship was with his wife, Sue, whom he met and married while living in Rhinelander and then retired to Florida with.
Dick is survived by his wife, Sue; his two sons: Chad (Sheryl) Huhn of Kimberly, and Ross (Kim) Huhn of Chelsea, Ala. He also adopted two children: Sharon and Lee Huhn. He is also survived by grandchildren: Joshua Perisho, Shane C. Huhn, Ashley Brown, Garrett Brown, Max Huhn, and Kylie Huhn; sisters: JoAnn Collins, Menasha, Elaine (Bob) Schuler, Clintonville, and Mary (Bob) Jensen, Winneconne.
He is also survived by his favorite and only brother, David (Jenny) Huhn, Albuquerque, N.M. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Imelda Huhn and his brother-in-law, Jack Collins.
