On April 6, fifth-grade students at Central Elementary School participated in a Wax Museum as the finale of their Leaders of Social Change ELA Module. Students researched a particular person of interest who has contributed to society. They wrote an essay, created posters and developed a timeline of this person. During the Wax Museum event, students dressed up, posed, and stayed still and quiet for an entire hour. Parents, grandparents, family members and other students were all able to attend the Celebration of Learning event. Pictured above are Marsadies Williams as Simone Biles and Basil Chiamulera as Harriet Tubman.
