He fought with the heart of warrior, surviving multiple surgeries, treatments, complications, and all the ravage cancer yields. His will to live was inspiring and exceeded the expectations of his doctors multiple times.
Brian was born in Beloit and shortly after moved with his family to Rhinelander where he grew up as a Hodag. He graduated from RHS in 1976, where he enjoyed his time on ski team. He then attended Technical College in Wausau where he was trained as a welder. He worked in the heavy iron industry in the late 1970s in Wausau.
He took time off work in 1979 to take the trip of a lifetime with his friend Russ. They traveled the West touring the wonders of the Grand Canyon, Jackson Hole, Yosemite, and many adventures. He was very proud of his trip to the top of El Capitan.
In 1983 he married the love of his life, Linda Harden, who he met in Rhinelander while she was interning. The memories are endless with fishing, hunting, camping outings, and working hard alongside his wife to fulfill their dreams.
Brian finished his working career for the City of Wausau in DPW and the Water Works. He worked all hours he could snow plowing, salting, and doing road work to save for his future retirement dream of living "up north."
Brian is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Linda. He is further survived by his sisters Sandra (George) Maloof of Washburn and Debby (Dave) Polkowski of Rhinelander. Numerous nieces and nephews are also mourning his loss, as well as Linda's family, and multitudes of friends old and new.
Preceding him in his death were his parents Frederick and Evangeline Bosquette of Rhinelander, and his brother Don Maderich.
Many thanks to all the wonderful people who have helped us along this journey. The love, support and prayers carried us through years of Brian's cancer battle. We certainly found the perfect group of people in the Springstead area who have been absolute angels on earth.
A memorial gathering for Brian will be held on Saturday, May 21 at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, from 1 to 4 p.m. with a memorial service at 2:30 p.m.
Special thanks to the staff of ARCC, Dr. Peterson, Dr. Platta, and Dr. Mustafa Baskaya. You gave Brian much more time on earth.
