Rhinelander students competed in various business-related events including Accounting, Marketing, and Personal Finance, all of which required taking a 100-question test; as well as participating in a leadership academy. Besides competing, students attended workshops, took tours of prominent Madison businesses, and met other students from across the state.
Students placing in the top four in each event qualify for Nationals. For Rhinelander, Jayson Fairfield took first place in Accounting and Hunter St. Louis took second place in Personal Finance.
Rhinelander was also recognized for its community service efforts based on the amount of time and number of members who have helped complete several projects throughout the year, especially Trick or Can, Fall Fest, Santa Letters, and Jeans For Teens.
For its efforts, Rhinelander placed first in Community Service.
The two students who qualified have the opportunity to go to Chicago from June 27-July 3 and compete against students from all 50 states.
