She is survived by her loving children Laurie (Mark) Eder of Brookfield, Susan (David) Wipijewski of Merton, Thomas (Debbie) Browne of McNaughton, and Paul Browne of Rhinelander, and grandchildren Michael, Kaitlin, Bryan, and William. She is further survived by her sister Sigrid, niece Heidi and nephew Walter, stepgranddaughter Angela (Kenneth) Eastman and her children David and Amber, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William, her parents, and her brother-in-law Bud.
Erika grew up in Brookfield and graduated from Wauwatosa High School. She married William in 1955 and they raised their family in Brookfield. Upon their relocation to Rhinelander, they enjoyed lake living and life in the Northwoods, where she loved entertaining their family, grandchildren and friends for special summers and holidays. Erika was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where she treasured her church family. She was an active member of the Ladies Guild and the Quilters, where her baking and creative talents were shared. She loved to garden, and enjoyed all of her backyard wildlife, and all of her families' pets!
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials to the Rhinelander Animal Shelter or St. Mark Lutheran Church, Rhinelander are appreciated.
A visitation for Erika will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral services following at 11 a.m., all at the St. Mark Lutheran Church. Reverend Richard Miller will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Wisconsin Memorial Park Mausoleum in Brookfield.
