Two local pickleball players recently won gold in the Advanced Mixed Open category of the Oshkosh Pickleball Tournament on Aug. 29, which drew players from all over the state.

Jeff Hoffman and Lori Grinde played in a bracket against 13 different teams en route to the title.

The Rhinelander YMCA along with the Pioneer Park Pickleball Group are sponsoring a pickleball tournament Sept. 18 at Pioneer Park. Play begins at 8 a.m. To register, contact the Northwoods YMCA at 715-362-9622 or visit www.ymcaofthenorthwoods.org.
