Fifteen members of the Hodag BMX Club traveled to Wisconsin Rapids last weekend for the Wisconsin state championships.

Owen Ives was the club's highest-placing rider, taking a state championship in the 15 Cruiser division.

Third-place finishes went to Brody Haff (12 Cruiser, 12 Novice/Intermediate), Dominic McCarty (8 Novice/Intermediate) and David Houg (14 Expert). Kody Kallio (13 Novice/Intermediate) and Alexandr Aguirre (15 Expert) placed fourth in their classes.

Cole Biermeier (14 Novice/Intermediate) and Dalton McCarty (12 Novice/Intermediate) added sixth-place finishes. Danny Sheldon was eighth in the 10 Novice/Intermediate class. Wyatt Underwood was 10th in the 12 Novice/Intermediate class and Logan Sheldon was 11th in the 10 Novice/Intermediate class.

The club will continue to hold local races at the Hodag BMX track on Friday nights through Oct. 1.
