Ginger was born in Rhinelander, on Sept. 25, 1956 to Freeman and Janet (Nitzel) Bennett. Raised in Rhinelander, Ginger was a 1974 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She then was united in marriage in 1979 to Donald E. Van Ells. The couple moved to Alaska living there for 15 years. They moved back to Rhinelander where Ginger was employed by the School District of Rhinelander as a teacher's aide for special needs children. Ginger enjoyed traveling, fishing, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Donald, children: Mark Van Ells, Minocqua, and Mike Van Ells of Wauwatosa; mother, Janet Bennett of Rhinelander, brothers: Freeman (Mary) Bennett Jr. of Rhinelander and Keith Bennett of Rhinelander; brother-in-law Theodore (Karen) Van Ells of Scott City, Missouri and sister-in-law Catherine (James) Davis of Rhinelander. Also surviving are other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freeman Bennett Sr., and a sister-in-law, Theresa Bennett.
A Celebration of Life for Ginger will take place at a later date.
