People entering the main entrance of Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander have been greeted by a sign announcing the facility's upcoming name change. The hospital was one of seven Ascension hospitals and 21 physician clinics and medical transport services that Aspirus assumed ownership of August 1. Matthew Heywood, president and chief executive officer of Aspirus Health, said at the time the acquisition will provide better and more connected care to more people in northern and central Wisconsin.
