Jan was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 3, 1959 to Edwin A. and Shirley M. (Neassen) Zaremba. She was raised in Milwaukee until the age of seven. Her family then moved to Harshaw in 1967, when her parents purchased the White Birch Resort.
Jan was a 1977 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She was employed at U.S. Stick in Rhinelander and then at Harley Davidson in Tomahawk where she worked for over 20 years, retiring in 2019.
Jan enjoyed crafts, working on home building projects, water skiing, jet skiing, campfires, crafts and a little gambling. She will be remembered for being very active and outgoing.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Jennifer Zaremba of Tomahawk; grand dogs, Meeko, Zoey and Benny; siblings Tom (Jean) Zaremba of Muskego, Dave (Mary) Zaremba of East Troy, and Sue Zaremba of Wausau;, six nephews: Dave, Bryon, Ivan, Eric, Alex, and Travis and by one niece, Andrea. Also surviving are other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Shirley Zaremba and by aunts, uncles, two great-nephews and one great-niece.
The visitation for Jan will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Jennifer Zaremba.
