Joyce was best known as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law. She was a compassionate caregiver to anyone who needed help and a trusted, dedicated friend to everyone she knew, staying in touch through letter writing, telephone, text, and Facebook messaging. She was an excellent cook and a tremendous baker, who passed on the Norwegian tradition of making Lefse to several family members.
Joyce was preceded in death by her two sons, Steven Braun and Alan Braun, her sister, Mary Janet (Teske) Douglas, and brother, Charles Teske. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary (Braun) Hyde, Kathryn Braun, and Joy (Braun) Rasmussen; her sister, Dr. Carolyn (Teske) Hartl, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as the extended Rolain family.
Joyce's unfailing love and devotion to her family will be deeply missed, but her wonderful spirit will continue to shine through everyone who knew her.
A sincere thank you is extended to the caring staff at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, the employees at JC Penney for their kindness, and the wonderful DePere Fire and Rescue team.
