RHS alum Owen White tabbed as preseason men's basketball player of the year in GLIAC
White, a senior for Michigan Tech, is the reigning conference player of the year. He averaged a conference-high 21.2 points per game, reaching double-figures in all 21 contests, including scoring a career-best 33 points in the GLIAC Tournament Championship. He received First Team All-GLIAC and All-GLIAC Defensive Team honors.
White was also named to the GLIAC North Division Preseason Team.
White's Huskies went 15-8 overall last season and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament for only the second time in school history.
Michigan Tech was tabbed as the preseason favorite in the GLIAC North Division in the coaches' preseason poll.
