Hodags' Neri receives WFCA All-Region honors
Neri was selected as one of eight running backs on the Region-1 Large team, which includes the largest schools and conferences from the north-central part of the state, including the Great Northern, Big Rivers, Fox Valley Association and the Valley Football Association.
Neri rushed for 1,821 yards and 20 touchdowns in 10 games this season -posting a career-with 317 yards and four touchdowns in a Week 9 win at Ashland on Oct. 15. Neri added another 300 yards and four touchdowns on 25 receptions this season.
Neri was one of only five players from the GNC to make the squad. Medford running back Aiden Gardner was on the list, along with quarterback/defensive back Trevor Garski, linebacker Nolan Harris and defensive lineman Walker Beyerl, all from Mosinee.
