Marjorie was born in Chicago on July 2, 1936 to Walter H. and Margaret A. (Nitzel) Grosman. She was raised in Chicago until the age of six when the family moved to Sugar Camp. She was a 1954 graduate of Three Lakes High School. Marjorie was united in marriage to Harry Rappley in Sugar Camp at St. Kunegunda of Poland Catholic Church on June 1, 1957. The couple continued to live in Sugar Camp where they lived for many years on the farm which was owned by Marjorie's parents. Harry and Marjorie then built a home on Sugar Camp Lake. Marjorie was employed as a receptionist with the Nicolet National Forest retiring in 1994. In 2002 Marjorie moved in with her daughter, Cynthia.
She enjoyed cooking, camping and cookouts with their friends in Sugar Camp. She also enjoyed trips to the casino with her friends. But most of all, Marjorie will be remembered for just wanting to enjoy life and have fun.
She will be dearly missed by her children; Cynthia Rappley of Rhinelander and Steven Rappley of Michigan, one grandson, Brady (Megan) Conrad of Arizona and two great-grandchildren; Jameson and Kayla Conrad.
At the request of Marjorie, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at a later time.
Marjorie's family asks that relatives and friends pause for a few moments in your day to remember all the good times you shared with her.
