Ida Bergman was born Feb. 17, 1977 to Greg and Mary Allen of Jamestown, N.D. She went home to be with the Lord May 7, 2021 due to cancer.

Ida joined the National Guard where she became a battlefield medic and a flight medic. She held the record for obstacle time at basic training for 10 or more years.

She graduated from Jamestown College in 1999. She had an incredible college track career, where she still holds the record for the 100 meter dash. She graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis in 2002 with a degree in Chiropractic. She was certified in nutrition as a nutrition lifestyle counselor.

Ida was an exceptional doctor and has written several published health and nutrition articles helping thousands of people live happier and healthier lives. She was featured in Oxygen magazine as a fitness model showing her fitness routine.

Ida married Dr. Jerod Bergman in 2003. They set up their chiropractic practice and worked as partners in Rhinelander. She and her husband have built multiple successful businesses together. She has helped so many move on in life to follow their passions.

Ida taught dance classes for children, competed in fitness competitions, and wrote a bi-weekly wellness newspaper column in her spare time.

Wellness was Ida's passion. Her fitness competitions included the Women's Tri Fitness in Las Vegas where she placed second in the Grace and Physique category of 160 (or more) other competitors. She was featured on the cover of Women's Tri Fitness magazine from Tampa Florida and was pictured in the Women's Tri Fitness Magazine in 2007. She graced the cover of Healthy Balance Magazine where she also authored an article, "Healthy Approach to Business".

Ida most of all loved to encourage others to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Whether in her practice or teaching children nutrition and fitness.

"When I get to speak to people about health and wellness, and I see that spark in them that turns into a flame, a lifestyle change, I feel I'm following my purpose." -Dr. Ida Allen

Although her life's work was encouraging physical health, Ida's journals reflect a very spiritual side of her. She started an internet-based program "Strong Women Through Prayer"; a place for women to share requests, and conquests and to pray together.

Ida loved her family more than anything else in life. Her proudest accomplishments are her four children. She is survived by her husband, Jerod; four children, Aden (17), Aila (13), Amos (11), and Axxl (2); her parents, Greg and Mary Allen; two sisters, Eva (Aaron) Walker and Rhea (Scott) Goffe; and a brother Abraham.
