Work is underway on the last portion of the three-year Stevens Street reconstruction project, to include underground utilities. According to the contractor schedule posted on the City of Rhinelander website, this week workers are continuing to remove and replace damaged concrete and adjusting manhole castings from Dwight Street to U.S. Highway 17. Later this summer a second layer of asphalt will be laid that will bring the street level up to the same thickness as other streets in town. Photo by Jamie Taylor/River News.
