Scott was raised in Highland Park and attended schools there. He went to school to become an auto mechanic and then worked at that trade until the time of his death. He moved to the Northwoods as an adult and opened the Elcho Service Center which he operated for the last six years.
Scott enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to waterski, snowmobile, camp, play hockey and anything else that got him out of the house.
Scott married Pamela Peter on Feb. 14, 2003 and God blessed them with 17 years of marriage. Scott is survived by his loving wife Pamela, his children Sheena Haskins, Kelly (Tyler) Schulz, Amanda (Josh Norton) Borcovan and Shawn Borcovan, his grandchildren Anja Schulz, Cameron Frye and Dimitri Borcovan, his father and mother-in-law Bernard and Judy Peter, his sisters Mary (MIchael) Wilkins, Linda (Timothy) Davidson, Cynthia (Robert) Birnberg and Constance (Albert) Simpson, his brother Keith (Dena) Haskins, many nieces and nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Karen Peter.
