Carol married Richard William Kraus on Jan. 27, 1962 in Milwaukee and they lived there until moving to the Rhinelander area in 1983. They purchased the Tower Tap Bar in Starks which they ran for 23 years retiring in 2005.
Carol enjoyed being a wife, and being a mother to her two children, she loved being around people and the eight dogs and one cat that gave her unconditional love.
Carol is survived by her daughter Lisa Kraus, grandchildren Michael (Kassie) and Aaron, great-grandchildren Nicholas, Trenton, and Karissa, brother Bob Armstrong, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends. A special thanks to all of Carol's friends, especially Dan and Elizabeth Matson, Donna and Jerome Pokorney, Al Ring, Dan and Stacy Radue, and Michael and Aaron's mother Leasia Mueller.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Tod, and brothers Jack and Paul Armstrong.
At the request of Carol there will be a private family service. You may leave your condolences for the Kraus family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is handling the arrangements for the family.
