Educators were nominated by students, parents, coworkers and community members in recognition of their high levels of professionalism and innovation in education, according to PIE press release.
"When reviewing the nominations and visiting each classroom it was a wonderful opportunity to experience the high level of work our educators do for our children every day," shared Ryan Zietlow, Rhinelander PIE board member. "We heard throughout the nominations, and conversations with students, that these educators are preparing our children to reach their full potential. We heard of empowerment, support, connectedness, and more. Their dedication is evident in every interaction they have with students, parents and community."

The Rhinelander Partners in Education Golden Apple Committee will review nominations and other feedback to select the 2021 Rhinelander PIE Golden Apple Teachers of Distinction, the release states.
Rhinelander PIE is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, comprised of area business, education and community leaders that strives to connect the community, businesses and students together in a collaborative approach.
