"The Oneida County Fair would like to thank everyone from business owners to community members that either stopped in personally, called, or donated online to help support the fair," Barnett said in a press release. "With the fantastic support of the performers and the community, the Oneida County Fair raised $6,020.00 by the time the 12-hour event was complete."
With technical and musical help from Scott Kirby and Michael Saint, the telethon was streamed with very few technical issues, the release said.
The 12-hour event also featured an array of local talent.
Musicians Scott Kirby, Michael Saint, Stephanie Roou, Ruby Plamann, Tuck Pence, Santy and Son, Will Young, Peter Kotarba entertained viewers. The event also included Oneida County history segments from Kerry Bleodorn and education from local WJFW weatherman Devin Biggs. One of the breakout stars of the show was 14-year-old Felicity Rae, Barnett noted. Her rendition of the song, "Hallelujah" brought tears to the eyes of some of the people present.
The fair is always accepting donations to help grow the fair through their secure PayPal account
paypal.me/ocfairwi, the release states.
