Ralph Edwin Staus, 82, of Rhinelander, died unexpectedly on Nov. 24, 2020, at his home. Ralph was born on April 26, 1938, in Waukesha, the son of Frederick and Edna May (Bergles) Staus. Ralph is survived by his wife, Rita of Rhinelander, his children Anne (David) Osterwind of Glendale, Ty (Tanya) Staus of Wausau, son-in-law Tom Zimmer of Eau Claire and seven grandchildren: Joelle (Chase) Gould, Zach and Kia Osterwind; Danica and Colin Staus; Hannah (Deion) Sonsalla and Ian Zimmer.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Carrie Zimmer, brother John "Jack" Staus, and granddaughter Katie Osterwind.

Because of the pandemic funeral services were delayed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 27 at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 135 E. Larch Street, Rhinelander. Visitation will be held at the church from noon to 2 p.m.
