Laser Pros International and Rhinelander Green engaged in a slugfest and, when the dust settled, the game ended in a 13-13 tie.
The teams played seven innings and opted against extras.
Rhinelander Green led most of the way, but Laser Pros rallied to take the lead with an eight-run fifth inning. Rhinelander Green scored once to tie in the top of the sixth, and the two teams went scoreless from there to end up in a draw.
Things started with the bases loaded with one out for Laser Pros down 12-5 in the fifth as an error on a pickoff attempt allowed Andrew Eckrich to score. Max Ratty followed with an RBI single and Will Gretzinger drove in two with a base knock before an RBI double by Sam Schoppe. Schoppe and Kyrle Vanney later scored following an overthrow on a pick off attempt to tie it before Mason Baker drove in Truman Lamers with a single to give Laser Pros a 13-12 lead.
That lead was short-lived, however. Johnny Turek drew a lead off walk for Rhinelander Green in the sixth, was moved over by an Owen Ives sacrifice and scored the tying run on a wild pitch.
Both closing pitchers - Cody Everson for Rhinelander Green and Oscar Hanson for Laser Pros - recorded key strikeouts to end threats in the seventh to end the game.
Rhinelander Green took a more slow and steady approach, scoring in each of the first six innings while Laser Pros scored in bunches, plating three in the first and two in the second before their big fifth inning.
Rhinelander Green managed only four hits in the game. Tyler Morrison had two of those knocks, including a two-run single in the first and a two-run double in the third. Adrian Patrone drove in two runs courtesy of a hit batter and a walk.
Laser Pros collected 11 hits in the contest, including two-hit efforts by Ratty, Gretzinger and Schoppe. Both teams used four pitches in the game. Hanson recorded five strikeouts over the final 2 1/3 innings for Laser Pros. Ratty string out two over 1 1/3 innings, Mason Baker hat three strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings and Kaden Vanney had a strikeout in two-thirds of an inning.
Both Everson and Alex Rappley struck out for Rhinelander Green. Owen Kurtz started and struck out two over two innings. Ives had a strikeout in an two-thirds of an inning.
Rhinelander Gray falls to Tomahawk
Tomahawk took advantage of a couple of situations on the base paths to defeat Rhinelander Gray in Prep League play 6-3 in Monday's first contest at Stafford Field.
Two runs scored on a fielder's choice after the Hodags threw the ball around in the second inning. A similar situation plated two for the Hatchets in the third. The Hatchets tacked on two more in the sixth inning, including an RBI hit by Landyn Seymour.
Rhinelander Gray got a run in the second as Evan Shoeder escaped a tag on a rundown play in the second inning. Kade Tessman reached on a two-out error in the fourth, allowing Caiden Sieker to score while Dolan O'Malley walked and eventually scored on an error.
A double in the second inning by Tessman, and a single by Sieker in the fourth were the only hits Rhinelander Gray could put together.
Mason Schmidt started and went for innings for Rhinelander, allowing one hit with six strikeouts and three walks. O'Malley went the final two innings, allowing two runs on a hit with three walks and two strikeouts.

Rhinelander Gray (3-2) hosted Three Lakes Thursday in a game that concluded after deadline and will turn around and play at Three Lakes tonight before taking on league-leading Crandon on the road on Monday.
Laser Pros (2-0-1) played at Eagle River on Wednesday and is off again until this coming Wednesday at Lakeland Gray. Rhinelander Green (1-1-1) was at Tomahawk Wednesday and returns to action this coming Tuesday at home against Crandon.
