After spotting the Eagles three runs in the first, the Hodags scored seven unanswered to take a 7-3 lead after five. Eagle River answered with two in the sixth, but Rhinelander plated four in the fourth to help secure the victory.
Rhinelander Babe Ruth has two teams - Rhinelander and Laser Pros International - in the senior league for players age 14-16.
Rhinelander's 13-year-old Prep League team sat 1-1 overall and was set to play its first home game Thursday against Eagle River. Laser Pros takes on Lakeland Black tonight at Stafford Field.
