Dennis's passions were fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, and spending time at his home on Pine Lake with his grandchildren: Derik Houle, Devin Houle, Luby Sidoff, Alexis Poling (Sidoff), Alex Bork, Juliet Bork, Katie Hollister (Houle), Kristin Houle, Abby Scott (Coy), Mandy Coy, Sidney Burns (Coy), Riley Custer, Chris Custer, and Sam Custer. He was blessed with a recent arrival of a great-grandson, Carson Denny Houle.
Dennis was always proud of his service in the military and served two tours of duty in the Air Force and Army. Almost daily you could find him sporting his World War II veteran hat, and fittingly, he died on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, son, Dennis and his siblings Clara, Richard, Marie, Tillie, Art, Harold, Edward, Errold and Joyce.
Services will be a private family gathering.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Josephine Memorial Scholarship fund at Rhinelander High School.
