She married David R. Wilmot on Nov. 3, 1956 and they shared 64 years together. Dave preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2020.
Beverly worked at Woolworth, Rhinelander Daily News, and Friendly Village. Beverly was an active member of Rhinelander Homemakers, 4-H and a Bluebird and Campfire Girls Leader. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and volunteered at Nativity of Our Lord Pine Lake Thrift Shop for many years. Beverly enjoyed working on the Pine Lake election committee. She was a charter member and secretary of the Rhinelander Antique Auto Club and enjoyed spending time with her husband and friends touring throughout the state in their antique cars.
Beverly is survived by daughters: Jaynie (David) Busche, Jude Wilmot-Lynch (Patrick Lynch), Joni Houle, Jan Allen and one son: Thomas. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Michelle and Emily Busche, Caitlyn (James) Leiva, Adam, Andy, and Alex Lynch, Katie (Todd) Hollister, Kristin Houle, Nicholas Wilmot, Melissa (Emil) Zalabak, Alexis Allen (Mike Zuiker), Stephanie Allen (Bryant Smith), and four great- grandchildren: Julie Breivogel, Emma Zalabak, Skylar Mahner, and Carter Smith. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters: Richard (Anna) Rice, Eugene (Dorothy) Rice, Ronald Rice, Jack (Laurie) Rice, Mary Lou Rice (Jim Gorski), and Jim (Sara) Rice; her husband's family: sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nancy and Roy Lechner; sister-in-law Judy Wilmot; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, David's parents: Anna and Raymond Wilmot; her brother-in-law: Gene; sister-in-law Joanne Rice; and son-in-law George Allen.
Bev will be remembered for how she treated all children like they were her grandchildren, her enjoyment of reading, sewing, and cooking, her love of dogs, and her willingness to help others. She enjoyed playing games and cards with her siblings and always enjoyed family get-togethers. Special times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were treasured by Beverly.
The family wishes to thank her home nurse, Holly; the staff at Ascension, Dr. Brooks and his nurses; and the staff at UW University Hospital, Madison for their care of Beverly.
A combined Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly & David will be celebrated at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church located at 125 E. King Street, Rhinelander, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Fr Aaron Devitt will be officiating.
Inurnment will take place at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery.
