Ted was born on May 22, 1935, in Cudahy, to Einar and Emma (Wendt) Ingman, Sr. He was first married to Vera Arnott, she passed away in 2000. On Aug. 2, 2003 Ted married Doris (Kroll) Crofoot at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Ted owned and operated Ingman's Service in Nokomis for 40 years and retired in 1997. He was a longtime member of the Nokomis Fire Department and served as the chief for 10 years. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, carpentry, repairing cars and machinery. Whether it was building stock cars or helping with food drives, Ted enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors.
Ted Ingman is survived by his wife Doris, five children: Ted (Deb Timmons) Ingman, Rod (Bev) Ingman, Shirley (Nick) Scholtes, Sheryl (Ted) Garfield and Jeff (Debby) Ingman. He has 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by 8 stepchildren: Kathy (Steve) Dimig, Mike (Kate Queen) Wojnowski, Greg (Diana) Wojnowski, Sue (Rick) Mullins, Tom (Pam) Wojnowski, Linda (Rick) Henry, Kari (Curt) Selthofner and Jim Wojnowski. There are 15 stepgrandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren also surviving. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Vera, three brothers Einar, Robert and Larry and one sister, Janet Panzer.
Funeral services for Ted Ingman were held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Pastor Susan Christian officiated. The family received friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Prairie Rapids Cemetery.
