After getting their children started in school Bonnie went back to work as a nursing assistant. She was first employed by the Friendly Village Nursing Home for over 20 years and then with the Family Matters Group Home for another 10 years.
In her retirement, Bonnie enjoyed going to the casino, doing her crossword puzzles, watching game shows and her trips each year to Wisconsin Dells. She looked forward to anytime that she could spend with her children and grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters Tracy (Doug) McRae, Terri Malone and Tina Malone, her sons Richard Malone Jr., Steve (Mary) Malone and Robbie Malone, her 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her sister Debbie (Barry) Castonguay, her brother Butch Wilmot, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Kyle Malone and her brothers Richard and Leonard Wilmot.
Private family services for Bonnie will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Northland Memorial Park Cemetery.
