Mike proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army for a total of 23 years. He served in both the Korean and Viet Nam Wars and received a Purple Heart. After retiring from the military, he began employment as a Veterans Benefits Counselor at the VA Regional Office in Milwaukee where he worked for 17 years. He and Peggy enjoyed traveling abroad and had many RV adventures while they were on the road for years. They made many new friends across the country.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Gail (David) Guerrero and Cecelia Munsell. A private graveside service with a Military Honor Guard is planned at the Northland Memorial Park Cemetery in Rhinelander on July 25, 2021.
