Michael A. LaGree
Michael was born in Newton, Kansas on Oct. 11, 1959 to Russell F. and Donna M. (Kater) LaGree. He was raised in Newton and was a 1977 graduate of Newton High School. Upon graduating from high school, Mike enlisted in the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country for two years. He then moved to the Fort Worth/San Antonio, Texas area. Mike was a welder by trade. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Mike loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing and listening to music.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters: Nicole (Christopher Slaton) LaGree of Monico and Alysha (Daniel) Jernigan of Kansas; mother Donna LaGree of Whitewater, Kansas; nine grandchildren: Richard Jones, Seaira Slaton, and Bryce Slaton, all of Kansas, Keyshawn Parker, Nickolas Slaton, Cameron LaGree, Devin Slaton, Connor Slaton and Nash Slaton, all of Monico; one brother Bobby LaGree of Kansas and one sister Stephanie East of Oklahoma. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Russell LaGree and one granddaughter, Brooklyn LaGree.
