Ruth graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1948. She married Harold Sachse on June 4, 1949 in Rhinelander and they were blessed with over 61 years of marriage. Harold preceded her in death on September 25, 2010. They lived and raised their four children in the house that they built themselves 60 some years ago.
Throughout the years Ruth had been employed by Lindey Cleaners, then the Dawn Coffee Shop and finally for Woolworths (the Dime Store) until her retirement in 1992.
Ruth had many interests outside of her work. They included playing dominos and other games, crossword puzzles, feeding the birds and chipmunks, reading anything Daniel Steele wrote, watching the old TV shows and collecting mouse figurines. She loved to decorate her house for each holiday for the enjoyment of her family and many friends whom she loved dearly. She was a kind, humble and caring lady who had a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to be around.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Julie (Larry) Evans, her sons Steven (Wendy) Sachse and Timothy (Esther) Sachse, her nine grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Diane Bradaseric, her sister Dolly Culver and her brothers Bud and Harold Whitaker.
